I. Processing of Personal Data
A. Processing of Personal Data in the Case of Using the Contact Form
If you inquire about our products and services, we will process your contact details, mainly provided through the inquiry form.
Why? We will use these details to contact you for further arrangement regarding products and services.
Legal Basis: This processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR – performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures at your request.
Duration: If no further cooperation is established, we will process your data for a maximum of 2 years from our last communication.
B. Processing of Personal Data in the Case of Purchase
When you make a purchase, we will process the data you provide, especially billing details: name, surname, address, and contact.
Why? We need to process personal data to fulfill our contract – deliver our goods or services to you. We will also communicate with you through the provided contact details regarding the status of your order, potential claims, or inquiries.
Personal data will be further processed to meet our legal obligations (mainly for accounting, tax purposes, and handling claims).
Legal Basis: This processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR – contract performance and Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR – compliance with our legal obligations.
C. Newsletters (Commercial Communications)
If you are a customer and have not objected during the purchase, we will use your email address to send you our updates.
Legal Basis: This is allowed by § 7(3) of Act No. 480/2004 Coll., on Certain Information Society Services, unless you have objected during the purchase.
Duration: We will process this information for 2 years from your last purchase. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via email or by contacting us at info@knihyfryc.cz.
II. Who Has Access to the Data?
Your data will remain with us. However, some companies or individuals who assist us in operating our e-shop may have access to the data. These entities include:
- Shoptet, the operator of the e-shop platform
- Payment processing companies
- Email service providers
Personal data is processed within the European Union.
III. Additional Information
We do not have a designated Data Protection Officer.
Automated decision-making or profiling is not conducted in our company.

If you believe we mishandle your data, you have the right to file a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection or take legal action.
